The house was built in the early 70’s, by the electrician for the first boring of the Eisenhower Tunnel. It is situated in one of the nicest older neighborhoods in Silverthorne, on the side of Ptarmigan Mountain. I grew up here, my mom ran the house as Ptarmigan Mountain Bed and Breakfast during the 80’s, and I now carry on the torch, as I have renovated the house and reopened it as Ptarmigans Nest Bed and Breakfast ( July 2015).
The Ptarmigans Nest Bed and Breakfast has 5 rooms. Three of the rooms have private baths, while the remaining two rooms share a bath and are dormitory style. Guests enjoy the use of a full kitchen, music room (feel free to play our piano, or ukulele!), living room, dining area by a wood burning stove, two decks, an outdoor gas grill, and a sauna. We also have a small greenhouse in back, that you are more than welcome to check out.
